Making this Valentine's the Best Yet for Your Child!

I'ts that time of year again! We know you've probably seen all the hearts, flowers,

teddy bears, and rows and rows of candy.  Everything seems to be covered in shades

of pink and red and dipped in Chocolate.  That's right, Valentine's is coming, and

it's coming fast!  So what should you give your child this Valentine's?

There's no doubt they will be getting lots of candy, treats, and cards from their friends,

classmates, teachers, and maybe even someone special.  How can you set yourself

apart from all of that and let your child really know what they mean to you.

How about a love letter?  Too many times, we as parents get wrapped up in our

to-do lists that we do not always make our love for our child known.  Sure, we work

for them, we give all our time and energy into providing for our children, but

many children do not realize the love that motivates us.  They are simply unaware

of the inner workings of a mom and dad.  That is why is it is so important that we

take the time to let our children know how much we genuinely love them.

This Valentine's day, why not write a letter to your child and let them know how

special they are to you.  Write about how proud you are of them, or what potential

your see in them.  Taking the time to really be honest and truthful will make your

child really feel special this Valentine's day.

It's something they can cherish and read anytime they feel sad or lonely.  Anytime they get down they can pull our your love letter and be reminded for just how special they are.  If you have a child that is too young to read, you can always store your love letters and give them to him or her when they are of age to really understand.

From the entire Red Door family, we want to wish you a very happy Valentine's Day.  We hope that it is filled with love and happiness.
