The Red Door Learning Montessori's Approach to ADHD

October 15 – 19 was Global ADHD Awareness Week, a special time each year set aside so that organizations can share knowledge about ADHD and reach out to those in need.  After all, knowledge is power and if we want to make a difference in this world, we need to spread knowledge and understanding.  The Red Door Learning Montessori was proud to participate in this worldwide event by posting special videos and messages all week long on our social media sites.

As we draw closer to the end of ADHD Awareness Week, we wanted to take the opportunity to share more about our organization and our approach to ADHD and other disorders and learning challenges.  First, it’s important to understand that there is no one-size-fits-all rule when it comes to finding the right approach for a special needs child, but we are dedicated to providing the right approach for the right situation; our mission is to provide a safe learning haven for children to flourish under the right love, acceptance, and guidance. Red Door Learning Montessori is conveniently located in north Houston. We offer a proper ratio of caregivers to children, our staff is skilled in caring for children with ADHD and other special needs, and most importantly, we see parents as partners in the care of their children. Together, we can provide the best quality of life for your child.  We offer special techniques and strategies that can benefit the entire family.

The Red Door Learning Montessori provides an environment that is beneficial to children with ADHD by offering highly-structured surroundings and consistency through set routines, policies, and procedures. We also have an open-door policy for parents so that they can feel comfortable asking about our experience, philosophy, and what accommodations we can offer our children.

ADHD is a common challenge for children, and it is not something a child will outgrow.  We do not look at it as a bad thing, our philosophy is to provide guidance and strategies that can help a child with ADHD flourish.  ADHD – Amazingly Dedicated to Having big Dreams – is something we encourage in our children.  We want to see them have bright futures and we believe in their talents!
